Founder
Meghan Melchor
Meghan Melchor is the founder of Lionheart Academy and brings over 15 years of experience in special education. A former public school special education teacher, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Emporia State University and a master’s degree in Special Education from Southwestern College. Meghan is a passionate advocate for expanding Christ-centered educational options for students with significant needs.

Kim Soderlund
Kim Soderlund began her journey at Lionheart Academy as a volunteer during its first year. She brings experience as a classroom aide, in-home care provider, and paraeducator at Heartspring. Kim is known for her calm, peaceful presence and her steady support of students throughout the day.

Lori Wolfe
Lori Wolfe serves as a paraeducator at Lionheart Academy after answering a clear calling to serve the Lord through her work. She has built meaningful relationships with students and regularly prays with and over them. Lori brings warmth, faith, and intentional care into the classroom each day.

Sasha Riddle
Sasha Riddle joined Lionheart Academy in November 2025 and specializes in behavior support for students with higher needs. As a former ABA therapy technician, she brings strong skills in behavior analysis, individualized supports, and consistent, predictable interventions. Sasha’s work is grounded in compassion, structure, and a heart for serving students through Christ-centered care.

Betsy Johnson
Betsy Johnson joined Lionheart Academy in January 2026 and has become a steady anchor in the core classroom. She is currently studying to become a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant and brings experience serving children with special needs through her volunteer work with Joni and Friends. Betsy supports students with patience, encouragement, and a deep commitment to faith-based service.
